Beyond the professional cataloging integral to my curatorial duties with the Hayes Collection, a critical component involved the strategic promotion of the exhibition. This required a multifaceted approach to publicizing the event and engaging potential visitors. To effectively amplify our outreach, I conducted extensive public records research to identify and utilize practical tools and strategies.

My research extended beyond simple promotional tactics; I aimed to craft compelling narratives that would intrigue potential visitors and foster a deeper connection with the artifacts. This involved weaving together historical facts with engaging storytelling to create a captivating preview of the exhibition's offerings.

My research responsibilities included a detailed analysis of the metadata associated with the selected artifacts: 96 political posters, 59 sets of political buttons, and 35 miscellaneous objects. Recognizing the crucial role of accurate metadata in understanding historical materials, I diligently worked to contextualize each item with comprehensive data. This involved researching dates, creators, historical relevance, and associated narratives, ensuring that the information presented was accurate and insightful. I cross-referenced existing records on PastPerfect Museum Software to maintain consistency and accuracy within the archival database. This thorough research process, encompassing both promotional strategies and detailed metadata analysis, allowed me to provide visitors with a richer and more informed exhibition experience, demonstrating my proficiency in public records research within an archival context.
